This is GREAT for lampshades and pretty much any other place cat hair [or dog hair] can get on. I first picked one of these sponges up at a car wash on a whim and I'm so glad I did! It works wonderfully and is super easy to clean.

Simply put, this works better than any vacuum brush or attachment. (I am also including the felt hair removal attachment when I say that.)
I have three cats and a huge, black-colored sectional couch. The Gonzo gets hair up off the furniture no matter how much or how little is on it. As soon as this one dies, I will be purchasing a new one, guaranteed.

I used to see these everywhere. I had one a long time and never thought I would not be able to find one when I needed it. I did not realize that they were the best until mine finally started to dry out and crumble, after about 5 years. Then, of course, I could not find one anywhere and was forced to try other options. All of the other options. Nothing works like this sponge. I bought three this time, so I have about 15 years before I have to start looking to purchase again! Believe me, this is the best for removing pet hair from furniture.
