I bought this for my parents for Christmas. It was important for them to be able to take the cage off the tube feeder and clean the feeder. They couldn't see how to take the cage off. They called Droll Yankees and were told there is no easy way to disassemble, that you have to bend some wire to remove the cage. The product was returned.

I couldn't believe how large and heavy duty this feeder is! I had a small feeder where this one is now. It took only 2 days for the birds to be comfortable with it. It will be so nice not to have to fill it so often. I was having problems with blue jays chasing the finches so the finches would fly away and hit the windows. The jays haven't come around since I put this feeder up. It's very well made and I love the clear dome. The birds look very secure in there. Expensive but worth every penney.
