The fan came out of the box, was installed only to find that the blade assembly rubbed against the exhaust cylinder's framing so bad it kept the fan blade from turning. After un-installing, taking the fan completely apart, and re-seating the motor/blade assembly (turning it 180 degrees), did it work correctly.
It now runs 24x7 and is very quite - exactly what we needed. Much like anything else - you get what you pay for. Though the fan is functional and quite, it's cost effectiveness must come out of the manufacturer's quality control budget.

The other reviews on this fan tell it like it is. The only thing I would add is that just because it is rated for bathrooms up to 45 SF does not mean you will be happy with the performance, as we are not. This is a good fan, but it does not do the job of getting the humid (and other!!!!) air out of our <40 sf bathroom either quickly or completely enough, as air goes into the hall as well as out of the house. The good news, which I will confirm upon proof, is that once the housing is in place, it looks like you can just buy a BFQ 75 or BFQ 90 which have higher amp motors and just swap the motor/blower assy out, which would take about 3.7 minutes including getting the ladder set up and down again. Bottom line: use this in a closet sized powder room, and don't kink your ductwork!

I've bough this fan around 6 month ago for kids' bath and so far we've been quite happy with it.
First le me list downsides: external cover grill plastic has rough edges (easy to fix with knife), it is no-housing fan, and it has to be installed with provided metal clip, which may be confusing.
Now BIG advantages: VERY LOW NOISE, motor bearings sleeves are definitely made to last: big bronze pieces with low-rpm motor.
Overall, if you are technically inclined: this is great buy as you can easily work around downsides and enjoy great product at very reasonable price.
