I thought this was a powered mic because it has a battery. But it doesn't function without an external power source. Works connected to my mixing board, PA, or amplifier, but not while connected to my laptop. I bought it so I wouldn't have to lug around and extra mixer to use on my PC. Sorry but I'll have to send it back. Oh well, live and learn I guess.

Bought this microphone for my DSLR, I have not been able to find one use for it since I bought it because It is such a terrible microphone. It hardly, I mean hardly records sound at all, pop a new battery in, barely a sound, the white noise is overbearing, i feel like i must have gotten a dud it is so bad.

Unlike The Version After This One, It Is Stereo, Made My Decision Easier. It Does Not, However, Have A Tele Option. It Would Have Made This Mic Awesome, But Good Enough Is Just Fine For 30$.
